Sarah Palin to Guest Host NBC’s ‘Today’ Show Opposite Katie Couric’s ‘GMA’ Stint

The former Alaska governor will go head to head with Couric in the ratings on Tuesday, April 3.

The former Alaska Governor and Republican vice presidential candidate will take a seat on NBC’s Todayshow on Tuesday, April 3. Palin will “reveal a different side of her than you’ve seen before” during the guest hosting stint, according to the show’swebsite.

Palin’s appearance comes during the same week that longtime Today host Katie Couric is slated to fill in for Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. Couric will appear on the rival program for the full week of April 2 while Roberts is on vacation. After 15 years of hosting Today, Couric left NBC in 2006 to anchor the CBS Evening News. The 55-year-old signed a record $40 million deal with ABC in June, acting as a special correspondent for the network’s news programs. She will also host her own syndicated daytime talk show, Katie, beginning in September.

For Palin, the new gig expands her growing television resume. Following an unsuccessful run for the vice presidency in 2008, Palin has become a regular on the Fox News Channel as a paid contributor

Sarah Palin has worn many hats throughout her career and now, she’ll add morning show host to her resume.
